UofL Katrina Response Update

• The University of Louisville has accepted approximately two dozen students from universities in areas affected by Hurricane Katrina, and at least one administrator from Tulane is now working at U of L. 
  
  
• With the help of about 50 student volunteers, UofL also cleaned up and opened dorm space for 64 evacuees to live on our Shelby Campus. This effort is being coordinated through the city of Louisville, and no one has yet been assigned to this housing yet. 
  
  
• UofL also continues to hold a univeristy-wide fund drive that has raised tens of thousands of dollars, although no final amount has been determined.
