The submission timeframe for applications to the CEO has been extended. All applications must be received by 5:00 p.m. EST, December 30, 2011.

The Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education is accepting applications to serve on the Council’s Committee on Equal Opportunities.

The CEO is responsible for:

  • Overseeing the Statewide Diversity Policy.
  • Monitoring institutional progress in meeting equal opportunity goals and objectives.
  • Advising the Council on the status of institutions for new academic programs, relative to performance on EEO goals.
  • Making recommendations to the Council for activities/programs that promote equal opportunity across the public postsecondary education system.
  • Assessing institutional progress toward implementation of its campus diversity plan.

Those interested in being considered for appointment to the CEO should submit an application, resume and letter of interest to the Council office. The application may be accessed

Applications will also be made available as a hard copy upon request.

In the letter, include your name, address, e-mail and phone number, as well as brief explanation of why you would like to serve on the CEO. The applications/resume/letter should be postmarked no later than December 15, 2011 and forwarded to:

A nominating committee, appointed by CPE Chair Governor Paul Patton, will review applicants and make recommendations to the chair in January 2012. CEO members will be identified at the Council’s February 2012 meeting.
