Local and Regional P-16 Council Information

Local Councils

  • Bluegrass Area P-16+ Council
    The Bluegrass Area P-16+ Council covers Bourbon, Clark, Fayette, Jessamine, Scott, and Woodford counties. The lead contact for this group is Gary Wiseman, director of pupil personnel at Fayette County Public Schools.

  • Central Kentucky Area P-16 Council
    The Central Kentucky Area P-16 Council covers Boyle, Garrard, Jackson, Laurel, Lincoln, Madison, Mercer, and Rockcastle counties. The lead contact for this council is Byron Bond, dean of continuing education & outreach at Eastern Kentucky
    University.

  • Greater Louisville Workforce Education Initiative
    The Greater Louisville Workforce Education Initiative covers Jefferson county and southern Indiana. The chair and lead contact for this council is Dan Ash, executive director of Metropolitan College.

  • Henderson Area P-16 Council
    The Henderson Area P-16 Council covers Henderson, Union, and Webster counties. The chair of this council is Patrick Lake, president of Henderson Community College and the lead contact: is David Brauer.

  • Kentucky River Regional P-16 Council
    The Kentucky River Regional P-16 Council covers Perry, Breathitt, Knott, and Leslie counties. The chair of this council is Kathy Smoot, associate provost of Hazard Community and Technical College and the lead contact is Ron Daley, Director, University Center of the Mountains.

  • Lincoln Trail Area P-16 Council
    The Lincoln Trail Area P-16 Council covers Breckinridge, Bullitt, Grayson, Green, Hardin, Hart, Larue, Marion, Meade,
    Nelson, Taylor, and Washington counties. The chair of this council is Thelma White, president of Elizabethtown Community and Technical College, and the lead contact is Beth Jefferson.

  • Madisonville Area P-16 Council
    The Madisonville Area P-16 Council covers Crittenden, Hopkins, McLean, Muhlenberg, and Webster counties. The chair of this council is Deborah Cox, Dean of Academic Affairs, Madisonville Community College, and the lead contact is Cris Crowley, ACE2 coordinator.

  • Maysville Area Partners for School Success
    The Maysville Area Partners for School Success
    covers Fleming, Harrison, Lewis, Mason, Nicholas, and Roberts counties. The chair and lead contact for this council is Augusta Julian, president, Maysville Community and Technical
    College.

  • Northern Kentucky Council of Partners in Education
    The Northern Kentucky Council of Partners in Education covers Boone, Bracken, Campbell, Gallatin, Grant, Kenton, and Pendleton counties. The chair of this council is G. Edward Hughes, president and chief executive officer of Gateway Community and Technical College, and the lead contact is Barbara Stonewater, executive director of the Council Partners.

  • Owensboro Regional Alliance
    The Owensboro Regional Alliance covers Daviess and Hancock counties and McLean, Ohio. The chair and lead contact for this council is Marilyn Brookman, executive director.

  • Pennyrile Area P-16 Council
    The Pennyrile Area P-16 Council covers Caldwell, Christian, Lyon, Todd, and Trigg counties. The chair is Tim McGinnis, superintendent of Trigg County Public Schools, and the lead contact is Judy Dulin of the Christian County Chamber of Commerce.

  • Purchase Area P-16 Council
    The Purchase Area P-16 Council covers Ballard, Carlisle, Calloway, Fulton, Graves, Hickman, Marshall, and McCracken counties. The chair of this council is Steve Freeman, dean for institutional planning, research, and effectiveness at Western Kentucky Community and Technical College, and the lead contact is Alvin Moore.

  • Pulaski Area P-16 Council
    The Pulaski Area P-16 Council covers Casey, McCreary, and Pulaski counties. The chair and lead contact for this council is Jo Marshall, president of Somerset Community College.

  • Southeast Area P-16 Council
    The Southeast Area P-16 Council covers Bell, Knox, Laurel, and Whitley counties. The lead contact for this council is Gary Perkins.

  • Warren-Barren Area P-16 Council
    The Warren-Barren Area P-16 Council covers Barren and Warren counties. The chair and lead contact for this council is E. Dale Brown, superintendent of Warren County Public Schools.

Regional councils

  • Appalachian Regional P-16+ Council
    The Appalachian Regional P-16+ Council covers the Morehead extended service area. Local councils covered under this regional council include Carter/Boyd, Maysville, Pike, and part of Kentucky River local P-16 councils. The chair and lead contact for this council is Dale Duvall, associate dean for university and community partnerships at Morehead State University.

  • Murray State University Regional P-16 Council
    The Murray State University Regional P-16 Council  covers the Murray State University extended service area. Local councils covered under this regional council include Henderson, Madisonville, Pennyrile, and Purchase local P-16 councils. The chair and lead contact for this council is W.A. Franklin, director of the Teacher Quality Institute at Murray State University.

  • Carter-Boyd Area P-16 Council
    Currently under development, the Carter-Boyd Area P-16 Council will cover Boyd, Carter, Greenup, Lawrence, and Rowan counties. The chair and lead contact for this council will be Larry Prichard, superintendent, Carter County Public Schools.
