Autism Training Center
The mission of the Kentucky Autism Training Center is to enhance supports for persons with autism by providing information and technical assistance to families and service providers across Kentucky. Towards this mission, the KATC provides professional development opportunities across disciplines that include field based technical assistance, interactive on-line training, and specialized seminars addressing the diverse needs of individuals with autism and their families. Members of KATC have also been awarded funding to advance best practices through service and research grants. The Center places emphasis on disseminating research-based strategies, collaborating with other public and private agencies in policy and system change efforts, and ensuring all efforts lead to greater independence and community inclusion throughout the lifespan.
