2018 Kentucky Postsecondary Education Symposium

Governor Matt Bevin, in partnership with Council on Postsecondary Education, invites the leadership of Kentucky's public and private colleges and universities to attend a half-day symposium.

This invitation-only event will feature Michael Crow, president of Arizona State University, who will discuss his model for reinventing postsecondary education institutions for the 21st century.  Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in the discussion and network with colleagues from other campuses.

Keynote SpeakerMichael Crow

Michael M. Crow has been president of Arizona State University since 2002. He has guided the transformation of ASU into one of the nation’s leading public metropolitan research universities, an institution that combines the highest levels of academic excellence, inclusiveness to a broad demographic, and maximum societal impact—a model he terms the “New American University.” Under his direction the university pursues teaching, research, and creative excellence focused on the major challenges of our time, as well as those central to the quality of life, sustainable development, and economic competitiveness of Arizona and the nation. 

 

Governor Matt BevinLuncheon Address

Governor Matthew G. Bevin was elected the 62nd Governor of the Commonwealth of Kentucky in 2015. He is a husband, father of nine children, veteran and successful small business owner. Governor Bevin has served on many non-profit boards, including as Chairman of the Board for the American Red Cross, Louisville Area Chapter. He has permanently endowed several scholarship funds, grants, and centers that provide educational opportunities for young people with limited financial resources.
