What are Academic Common Market and Contract Spaces?

Academic Common Market and Contract Spaces are tuition-discount programs available to Kentucky residents.

Academic Common Market enables Kentucky students who are interested in an academic program not offered at a public/state-funded university in Kentucky to pay in-state tuition at participating public/state-funded colleges and universities in the 15 states that are members of the Southern Regional Education Board (SREB).

Contract Spaces for veterinarian and optometry schools enables Kentucky residents to compete for a contract space seat in the program for which the state of Kentucky pays a contract fee for the space with the institution and the student pays a reduced tuition amount.

What is the difference?

ACM offers baccalaureate to doctoral degrees in both traditional on-site and online formats, but does not provide professional degrees, such as law or medicine. Contract Spaces is the professional degrees option. In Kentucky, Contract Spaces offers options for veterinary medicine and optometry.
