Student Advisory Network Application

The Council on Postsecondary Education (CPE) is seeking applications from current college students attending a Kentucky public university or community and technical college to serve on the new Kentucky Postsecondary Student Advisory Group. The advisory group will engage students in discussions related to state-level higher education policy and advise CPE President Aaron Thompson on matters of student interest.

Meetings will be held quarterly, either by teleconference or in person, and members may benefit from professional interactions and networking opportunities. While this is a non-paid position, all necessary travel expenses will be reimbursed per state guidelines.

The Council is seeking a representation from a diverse range of backgrounds, ages, orientations, and experiences. The representative will serve one academic year (2020-21) and may be eligible for an additional term.

To qualify, students must have completed their freshman year and be enrolled at least part-time as a student in the fall of 2020 at a Kentucky public institution.

Deadline for applications closed on June 5.   CPE staff are currently reviewing the submissions and plan to contact all applicants by June 30.
