February 23, 2024
The Council on Postsecondary Education (CPE) is accepting proposals from Kentucky’s public universities, Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS) campuses and Association of Independent Kentucky Colleges and Universities (AIKCU) for seed grants to support summer bridge programs.
Grants of up to $10,000 are available to support summer bridge programs that ease students’ transition to postsecondary education and promote first-year college success. An additional $5,000 may be requested, based upon availability of funding and the number of requests.
Proposals should include a narrative and a budget and address some or all of the following:
- Promote face-to-face college readiness and transition skills, academic readiness skills, social and emotional resources and advising for incoming first-year students.
- Provide opportunities for career exploration and planning.
- Incorporate financial literacy programming that includes college affordability, financial aid resources and personal finances.
Proposals must be received by noon ET on Monday, March 4, 2024. Application materials are online at https://cpe.ky.gov/news/grants/index.html. More information is available on a pre-recorded question-and-answer session online.
