CPE statement on Kentucky State University's accreditation status

The Council on Postsecondary Education is aware of the warning issued to Kentucky State University by its regional accreditor, Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC). For the last several years, CPE has been working with university leadership on a management improvement plan and KSU already has made great progress in resolving many of the issues identified by SACSCOC. We are confident that the leadership and mechanisms currently in place will enable KSU to comply with any and all accreditation standards and will not affect its educational mission.
